Faroe Islands reduces VAT on petrol and diesel until end of July

The Faroese Parliament has approved a government proposal to lower the VAT rate on petrol and diesel until 31 July, making fuel cheaper for drivers, reports Faroese broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya.

The decision was passed in a final vote on Friday, with 21 MPs in favour, three against, and five abstentions. The change will take effect the day after its official announcement.
