Firefighters battle large blaze on apartment building roof in Nokia

Fire crews in western Finland are working to extinguish a major fire that broke out on the roof of a residential building in Nokia on Friday, public broadcaster Yle reports.

The Pirkanmaa emergency services received an alert about the building fire at 11:45 AM local time. What initially appeared to be a moderate incident escalated rapidly into a large-scale operation, with around 20 emergency response units dispatched to the scene on Otonkatu street.

The cause of the fire and any potential injuries remain unconfirmed as firefighting efforts continue.
