Helsinki region public transport continues despite drone warning

Public buses, metro services, and trams in the Helsinki capital region will continue operating for now, despite a potential drone threat in Uusimaa, according to Helsinki Regional Transport (HSL).

HSL confirmed to national broadcaster Yle that while some bus routes may be cancelled, there are no plans for a full suspension of services. Cancellations could occur, for example, if a bus driver is unable to reach their workplace.

Authorities have issued a safety alert advising residents in Uusimaa to stay indoors as a precaution.
