Danish Eurovision hopeful spent childhood working on grandfather’s farm
Danish singer Søren Torpegaard Lund, who competed in this year’s Melodi Grand Prix, grew up spending long hours on his grandfather Ove’s farm in Vestjylland, reports Danish broadcaster DR.
Before pursuing a music career, Lund worked on the farm, gaining what Danes call “jord under neglene” – literally “dirt under the nails” – a phrase describing hands-on experience with rural life.
DR’s report includes photos of Lund on the farm, taken by Claus Rud.
