Finnish president Stubb attends Bucharest Nine summit in Romania
Finnish President Alexander Stubb is attending the Bucharest Nine (B9) summit in Romania on Wednesday, reports Finnish news agency STT. The meeting will focus on transatlantic security and NATO’s upcoming summit in Ankara this July.
Finland is participating as an observer alongside other Nordic countries. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte have also been invited to the gathering as external guests.
The Bucharest Nine, established in 2015, consists of Romania, the Baltic states, Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Bulgaria.
