Faroese parliament votes to reduce VAT on petrol and diesel

The Faroese parliament, Løgtingið, has approved a proposal to lower the VAT rate on petrol and diesel, Kringvarp Føroya reports.

The bill passed its second reading with 23 votes in favour, cutting the tax on fuel until 31 July. It now moves to a third and final reading before the summer recess on 19 May, after which the reduction will take effect.
