The Swedish investigative documentary series The Hunt, produced by public broadcaster SVT’s Uppdrag granskning (Mission: Review), has been nominated for a Golden Nymph Award at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, the broadcaster reported on Monday.

The three-part series, which follows reporter Diamant Salihu as she documents police operations against a paedophile network sharing abuse material online, is shortlisted in the news and documentary category.

“It feels incredibly important to bring attention to this issue and make the documentary accessible to an international audience,” Salihu said in a statement. She added that being nominated “among other incredible news documentaries from around the world” was an honour.

The series previously prompted Swedish authorities to launch an investigation into AI tools that could help identify victims in child abuse material—a system already in use by Norwegian police. All episodes remain available on SVT’s streaming platform, SVT Play.

The Golden Nymph Awards recognise outstanding television productions worldwide. Winners will be announced at the festival in Monaco.
