Who controls Denmark’s emergency warning sirens?
Denmark’s national preparedness week continues Thursday with emergency sirens sounding across the country, national broadcaster DR reports. The alert system is managed by the country’s Preparedness Office, which oversees crisis response and public warnings.
The nationwide test coincides with a special broadcast, Beredskabskontoret (The Preparedness Office), airing from 16:15 to 22:00 on DRTV and dr.dk. The programme aims to explain Denmark’s emergency protocols and offer guidance on personal crisis preparedness.
