Police investigate robbery incidents involving suspects from Northern Central Finland

The police in Central Finland are investigating a series of three robbery incidents involving the same suspects. The most recent robbery occurred earlier this week. On Friday, the Central Finland District Court remanded two individuals in custody based on strong evidence linking them to the crimes. The suspects are a man and a woman from Northern Central Finland.

According to the police investigation, all the robberies followed a similar modus operandi. The suspects allegedly lured their victims to a private residence in Pihtipudas using a dating platform. Once the victim and the woman arrived at the location, a man, suspected of involvement in the crime, unexpectedly showed up and threatened the victim with violence, demanding money.

The police are advising individuals using dating services to exercise caution and take time to get to know the other party. Additionally, careful consideration should be given to the choice of the first meeting place.
