Faroese energy company reports record surplus of 13.2 million krona

The Faroese state-owned energy company Elektron has achieved a surplus of 13.2 million krona after tax this year, the highest in the past five years, according to a report by Faroese public broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya.

Ulla Joensen, the company’s managing director, noted that the result reflects both gains and losses. The surplus marks a significant increase compared to previous years.
