Oslo airport incident after passenger threatens others on Istanbul flight
A man in his 30s has been reported to police after a dramatic incident aboard a Pegasus Airlines flight at Oslo Airport on Monday, Norwegian media report.
The aircraft, preparing for takeoff to Istanbul, was forced to return to the gate following what operations manager Gisle Sveen described to Dagbladet as an “extremely unpleasant” situation on board.
Police received reports at 15:58 local time that the Oslo resident had made serious threats against fellow passengers. “He was to take a flight to Turkey, but things did not go as planned. He was aggressive and difficult. He is said to have threatened other passengers’ lives, making this highly distressing for those on board,” Sveen stated.
Uniformed officers removed the man from the aircraft. He will face charges, and the airline is expected to file a separate complaint, according to authorities.
