Faroese energy company reports 13 million krona profit for last year

The Faroese energy company Elektron recorded a post-tax profit of 13.2 million krona in 2025, according to figures released by national broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya.

The company’s total assets stand at 105.3 million krona, with equity of 69.7 million krona. Shareholders will receive 5.3 million krona in profit distributions.

Elektron’s board was re-elected at the annual general meeting on 22 April, with Jean Djurhuus continuing as chair and Brian Smedemark as deputy chair. Other board members include Jan Ziskasen, Marner Mortensen, and employee representatives George Poulsen and Tim Wentzlau. Ullu Joensen remains the company’s managing director.
