The Tórshavn city council has referred a proposal to amend zoning permissions for a green space near the Faroese national broadcaster and the Nordic House, where 84 apartments are planned, reports Kringvarp Føroya.

The proposal, discussed at a council meeting on Monday, would alter existing building restrictions to allow residential construction on the site. The city’s building and urban planning committee has recommended approving the change.

No decision was reached during the session, and the matter remains under consideration.
