The police conducted speed checks in Kollafjørður yesterday.

One driver, who has held a license for less than three years, was banned from driving after being recorded at a speed of 133 km/h. Another driver was fined for driving at 104 km/h, while a third, who sped at 105 km/h, received a ticket and had points deducted from their license.

In another incident, the police are keen to gather information regarding a traffic light that was damaged on R.C. Effersøesgøta in Tórshavn. The light, situated over seven meters above the ground, was reported out of service at 6:30 PM yesterday. The cause was attributed to someone having hit the light, which controls traffic along the road. The traffic light was restored to functionality three hours later.

Additionally, a man was apprehended at the airport yesterday for confronting a customs officer. The individual arrived on a flight and was noticeably under the influence, according to police reports.
