Teen girl found dead near railway station in Landskrona, two suspects in custody
A girl in her mid-teens was found unresponsive just after midnight on July 23, outdoors near the old railway station in Landskrona. Despite efforts to revive her, she was pronounced dead at a hospital about an hour and a half later. Authorities suspect foul play, indicating that the girl had been subjected to severe violence. Police found additional evidence at the scene that supports the homicide investigation.
On Thursday, divers conducted searches in the waters around Landskrona as part of the ongoing inquiry.
Two girls are under suspicion; one is under the age of 15 and is facing charges of murder and kidnapping. She has since been taken into custody by social services due to her age. The other suspect, a 15-year-old girl, is also being held with probable cause for murder, and a hearing for her custody is set for Friday afternoon. A third individual is suspected of aiding a criminal.
The motivations behind the murder remain unclear, as the prosecutor has yet to disclose any potential motive. However, the two suspects have reportedly made certain admissions and provided details about the incident. It has been confirmed that the suspects were previously acquainted with the victim.
