Danish father sentenced for sending daughters to Somalia for forced re-education
A 57-year-old man has been sentenced to three years in prison for sending his three daughters on a forced “re-education trip” to Somalia, DR reports. The court also convicted him of violence against two of the girls and threats against the eldest daughter, though he has denied all charges and appealed the ruling.
The two oldest sisters returned to Denmark in February after spending three and a half years in Somalia, where they endured beatings, threats, and forced Quran recitation, according to the case details.
