Eight injured in three-vehicle collision on Highway 9 near Jyväskylä

Eight people were injured in a traffic accident on Friday in Korpilahden, Jyväskylä, after three vehicles collided on Highway 9, Finnish public broadcaster Yle reports. All injured were transported for further medical care.

The collision occurred at the Painaan intersection, temporarily halting traffic in both directions for over an hour. Emergency services received the alert at 13:56 local time, and Finland’s traffic management agency Fintraffic confirmed the road had reopened by 15:27.

Four rescue units responded to the scene.
