Norwegian police have appealed to parents to collect their children after hundreds of intoxicated minors gathered in several towns on the night before May 1, Dagbladet reports.

In Møre og Romsdal, police reported around 11:30 PM that approximately 150 intoxicated underage individuals had congregated at a gas station in Ørsta town centre. Operations leader Thomas Arseth Holte urged parents to “contact their children and assess whether they should be there, given their level of intoxication.”

Similar scenes unfolded in Stranda, where police estimated 100–150 intoxicated minors had gathered. Authorities in Bø and Notodden also requested parental intervention, citing “significant public order issues” linked to underage groups. Operations leader Ståle Olstad Fuglaas of the South-Eastern Police District stated that those refusing to disperse would be reported to authorities.

Police closed a road in Bø due to fights and reckless driving. Officers deployed “significant resources” to manage the situations, emphasising the need for parents to retrieve their children.
