Twelve cruise ships to visit Vestmanna this summer

A record 12 cruise ships will dock in Vestmanna this summer, Faroese public broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya reports, marking a significant increase from previous years.

Eight ships visited in 2025, while only two arrived in 2024. Demand is already high for 2027, with 15 vessels requesting berths, and bookings also confirmed for 2028.

Most passengers purchase guided hikes under the Vestmanna cliffs or join walking tours of the village with local storytellers. The port typically accommodates ships carrying 200–300 passengers.

The first vessel of the season arrives on Sunday, 10 May, with the last scheduled for Wednesday, 23 September.
