Man sentenced to six years in prison for attempted murder at Aarhus Central Station
A 42-year-old man has been sentenced to six years in prison for attempted murder after stabbing a 24-year-old man in the neck during a fight at Aarhus Central Station, reports the Aarhus District Court.
The attack took place on May 29, 2025, when the defendant stabbed the victim twice with a knife on the station platform. Forensic medical examiners determined that the 24-year-old lost a significant amount of blood and was in life-threatening condition, though he survived following emergency surgery.
The court ruled that the 42-year-old intentionally carried out the stabbing, knowing it could be fatal, and rejected his claim of self-defense. The convicted man has appealed the six-year sentence.
