Woman arrested after stones thrown from motorway bridge
A 33-year-old woman has been arrested after large stones were thrown from a motorway bridge onto vehicles travelling on Djurslandmotorvejen in eastern Jutland, Danish broadcaster DR reports.
The woman is charged with endangering the lives and safety of others, according to Østjyllands Police. No vehicles were hit, and no injuries were reported.
Police received a report just before 10 p.m. from a driver who witnessed multiple stones being thrown from a bridge between Lisbjerg and Søften. The motorway was briefly closed while officers searched the area.
A police dog unit located two large stones, and the suspect was detained at a nearby light rail station. She was not in a condition to be questioned and was initially taken to a medical facility, authorities stated.
Prosecutors will decide today whether she will face a preliminary custody hearing.
