Eight arrested after shooting at residential home in Skjetten
Eight men in their 20s and 30s have been arrested in connection with a shooting at a home in Skjetten last week, Øst Police District announced in a statement on Wednesday, Dagbladet reports.
The incident involved shotgun fire directed at a residential property in the Lillestrøm area on Thursday of the previous week. Police confirmed that all eight suspects are Norwegian citizens except one, who holds Swedish citizenship.
Three of the men have been remanded in custody, while the remaining five will appear before a judge for detention hearings in the coming days. Authorities stated they now have a clear understanding of who was present at the scene and who carried out the shooting.
No injuries were reported, though residents had received threats prior to the attack. The shooting occurred in a quiet housing cooperative of terraced homes, roughly 20 minutes from Oslo. Police had previously confirmed that people were inside the home at the time of the incident.
