Woman pays €11,000 for event that never happened

A Danish woman paid 81,000 kroner (€11,000) for a dream event organised by Ørestad Selskaber, only to have the company fail to deliver, according to a report by public broadcaster DR.

Nathalie, whose full name was not disclosed, entered an agreement with the company to arrange a custom event. After payment, however, the promised services were not provided. When she requested a refund, she was referred to the company’s legal team and denied compensation.

The case follows a pattern where Ørestad Selskaber allegedly accepts payment for tailored events but struggles to fulfil contractual obligations. Customers left without services or refunds report being directed to the firm’s lawyer instead of receiving resolutions.
