The Faroese state-owned telecommunications company Føroya Tele recorded a net loss of 38 million krona after tax in 2025, despite a strong financial position and solid revenue performance, according to a report by public broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya.

The company’s board has proposed paying a 50 million krona dividend to its sole owner, the Faroese government, at its annual general meeting. If approved, this would bring total dividends paid to the government over the past three years to more than 115 million krona—30 million in 2023 and 35 million in 2024.

Føroya Tele reported total equity of 519 million krona at the end of 2025.
