Danish man sentenced to six years for promoting far-right terror network
A 30-year-old man has been convicted in Denmark for promoting Terrorgram, a far-right extremist network linked to multiple violent attacks, Danish broadcaster DR reports.
Jeremy Meilhac was sentenced to six years in prison and subsequent deportation from Denmark for playing an “active and significant role” in the network, which advocates for white supremacy. Authorities have tied Terrorgram to several far-right extremist attacks in recent years, including an assault on an LGBT bar in Slovakia and an incident outside a mosque in Turkey.
The case originated three years ago when a journalist reported Meilhac to police for making threats. The investigation later expanded to include his involvement in the extremist network.
