Shooting in Oslo leaves one injured
Police in Oslo responded to a violent incident on Sunday evening after reports of gunfire in the Økern district, Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet reports. One person was injured and taken to hospital.
A video obtained by Dagbladet shows multiple police cars and ambulances at the scene, with an unconscious individual lying on the ground surrounded by bystanders. Witnesses reported hearing several shots fired.
“Information received by police indicates that shots were fired. One person is injured and has been attended to by ambulance services,” operations manager Roy Langengen stated in the police log at 19:07 local time.
According to anonymous tipsters, the wounded individual was transported from the scene by ambulance, followed by police. The witness described seeing the victim unconscious with head injuries.
Police have not yet released further details about the incident or the condition of the injured person.
