First lambs of the season arrive in the Faroe Islands
The first lambs of the year have now been spotted across the Faroe Islands, including on the island of Sandoy, where lambing season has begun, reports Faroese national broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya.
Pauli Sandoy, a farmer on Sandoy, took over the family farm—named Skemmugarð after the pope—from his father. His flock currently numbers around 200 ewes, with expectations of 200 lambs this season. So far, 12 have been born.
