The leadership of the Faroese parliament, the Løgting, has demanded a full explanation from the national property agency Landsverk regarding prolonged construction work at the parliament building, including the replacement of glass panels on an extension, national broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya reports.

During the final session of the last parliamentary term on 12 March, the leadership criticised the slow progress, stating the work had taken “far too long”. They called on Landsverk to provide the newly elected leadership—now in office following recent elections—with a detailed account of the delays.

A contract for the construction work was signed between Landsverk and the company Kanjon on 18 March. The project includes urgent measures such as the removal of all glass panels on the parliament’s extension building, as shown in an image published by Kringvarp Føroya.
