Faroese historical film Verdandi enters post-production
Post-production work on the Faroese historical film Verdandi is now underway, with the director and editor currently based in the Faroe Islands, national broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya reports.
The film, named after the schooner Verdandi which sank in 1944 with 15 crew members lost, is a Faroese production with a local cast and filming locations across the islands. German director Dagmar Knöpfel is collaborating with editor Patriciu Rommel to finalise the project.
As part of the post-production process, a live film score will be created in cooperation with Faroese musicians Torleik Mortensen and Andreas Restorff. Clips from the work-in-progress were recently featured on the Kringvarp Føroya programmes Dagin og vikan (The Day and the Week).
