A Faroese opposition politician has submitted the first parliamentary question of the new session, pressing the education minister on the future of a school building in the capital Tórshavn, Kringvarp Føroya reports.

Bjørg Brynhildardóttir Egholm, an MP, has directed her question to Bárður á Lakjuni, the minister responsible for education, regarding the rental costs, maintenance backlog, and long-term plans for Skúlaheimið (the School Centre) in Tórshavn.

Egholm is asking whether the property will remain under public ownership or be sold to private interests.
