Iran releases footage of seized vessels in Strait of Hormuz

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) has released video footage showing its forces seizing two vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, state television reported early Thursday.

The IRGC claimed earlier on Wednesday that it had confiscated the ships for “sailing without permission,” according to a report by Swedish public broadcaster SVT.

Russian drone strikes injure seven in Dnipro

Seven people, including two children, were wounded in Russian drone attacks overnight in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro, regional governor Oleksandr Hanzha announced via Telegram.

The strikes also set fire to a residential building. The injured—two children and five adults—were taken to hospitals with moderate wounds, Hanzha stated.

Sweden scraps mandatory theory course for learner drivers

Sweden’s parliament has voted to remove the requirement for a compulsory introductory course before beginning practice driving for a standard car licence (B-körkort). The change was approved on Wednesday.
