Faroese parliament to debate first bills of new term on Friday

The Faroese parliament, the Løgting, will hold its first full session of the new term on Friday, with the first legislative proposals set to be introduced, Kringvarp Føroya reports.

According to the agenda, the initial reading of bills will take place on Friday, with potential first amendments to be considered the following Tuesday. Five parliamentary sessions are scheduled for May.

Last week, Aksel V. Johannesen, the minister of finance, indicated he was preparing a proposal to reduce the tax on fuel.
