Norway set to outpace Paris with warmer spring temperatures
Temperatures across southern and eastern Norway are climbing, with forecasts predicting even warmer conditions in the coming days, meteorologists report.
According to Siri Wiberg, duty meteorologist at the Norwegian Meteorological Institute, Hvaler in Østfold recorded the country’s highest temperature on Tuesday at 19.2°C. The trend is expected to continue, with several locations in Sørlandet and Østlandet likely exceeding 20°C on Wednesday and Thursday.
Wiberg noted that Norway’s temperatures will surpass those in Paris by a clear margin, with the French capital expecting around 16°C. Barcelona, meanwhile, will see similar warmth to Norway’s southern regions.
When asked for recommendations on the best spots for outdoor activities, Wiberg highlighted Drøbak, Drammen, Grimstad, and Kongsberg as prime locations, with Drøbak—her hometown—potentially reaching 20°C.
