Plans for a housing development of around 150 residential units at Fossum in Klaksvík have been finalised, with construction set to start after the summer holidays, Kringvarp Føroya reports.

The project, led by construction firm Articon, was approved by the Klaksvík municipal council last year. The development will include various types of housing, potentially built in three phases. The total land area designated for the project is 29,200 square metres, with 3,400 square metres reserved for a new kindergarten.

The municipal council unanimously agreed in November to release the land for residential construction. A final proposal will be presented to the council in May, after which work is expected to commence.
