Domestic flights resume between Karup and Copenhagen
A direct air route between Karup Airport in central Denmark and Copenhagen has reopened, Danish broadcaster DR reports. The service launches Monday after Dutch carrier AIS Airlines discontinued the connection last summer.
The new route marks a turnaround for Midtjylland Karup Airport, which was acquired in October by Heartland—a conglomerate led by Anders Holch Poulsen, owner of fashion retailer Bestseller. Previously, the airport had been jointly owned by several surrounding municipalities.
No further details on flight frequency or operators were provided in the initial announcement.
