Faroe Islands expects 52 cruise ships this summer

The port of Tórshavn is preparing for 52 cruise ship visits this summer, with the first arrival on 5 May and the last on 29 September, according to a schedule released by Kringvarp Føroya.

The ships will bring an estimated 25,000 passengers and crew, though their total capacity exceeds 28,500. Eight vessels will arrive in May, followed by 10 each in June and July. August will see the highest traffic with 18 ships, while six are scheduled for September.

The final cruise ship of the season, Hurtigruten’s Spitsbergen, will dock on 29 September before departing the following day.
