Person remanded in custody for serious data breach and sabotage
A suspect has been remanded in custody on probable cause for serious sabotage and serious data intrusion, Sweden’s Prosecution Authority announced on Sunday.
The individual was arrested on April 15 and formally remanded on April 19, according to a statement. The alleged incident is reported to have taken place in western Sweden, though authorities have not disclosed details about the nature of the suspected data breach or sabotage, SVT Nyheter reports.
The investigation is being led by Sweden’s Security Service (Säpo) and overseen by a chief prosecutor at the National Security Unit.
