Oslo police investigate suspected homicide after body found

Oslo police are investigating a suspected homicide after discovering a body at a private residence in the eastern part of the city on Sunday, Dagbladet reports.

A man in his late 20s has been detained in connection with the case. Police confirmed the deceased was found at the same address where the arrest was made.

“Our patrols discovered a person confirmed dead at the scene,” operations manager Bjørn Gunnar Nysæter stated in the police log. “We are treating this as a homicide investigation. The detained individual was present at the address when officers entered.”

Authorities have secured the area and currently have no indication that additional individuals were involved.
