Left Party eyes cabinet roles in potential future government
The Left Party is demanding cabinet positions in Sweden’s next government if its support is needed to secure a majority, according to a report by public broadcaster SVT.
In an analysis on the political talk show Politik, politik, politik!, SVT’s political reporters Erik Nilsson and Daniel Ingmo examined which ministerial portfolios the party could target. Ingmo suggested that some voters might view the prospect of a Left Party-influenced government as alarming.
“Many might feel this would become a ‘horror cabinet,’” Ingmo said during the program.
The Left Party is currently finalising its stance on government participation, a decision that could shape Sweden’s political landscape after the next election.
