Finnish air force conscripts draw phallic shapes with training flights
The Finnish Air Force has launched an investigation after conscripts on a reserve officer training course drew phallic shapes in the sky during a flight exercise, as shown by radar tracking data published online.
According to a report by Iltalehti, first noticed by public broadcaster Yle, four aircraft from the Air Force’s reserve officer training course flew routes on April 13 that formed penis-shaped patterns visible on the flight-tracking website Flightradar24.
The planes took off from Tikkakoski Air Base in Jyväskylä around 7:30 AM local time. Flightradar24’s data shows at least four aircraft participating in the formation of the shapes.
The Finnish Air Force confirmed to Iltalehti that the flights were conducted by conscripts in the reserve officer training program. An internal investigation was immediately initiated, and those responsible have already faced disciplinary action, the Air Force stated.
Yle attempted to reach an Air Force representative for further comment. The Tikkakoski Air Academy, where the incident occurred, is the Finnish Air Force’s primary pilot training facility.
