Man found with multiple stab wounds in Askim
A man was hospitalised early Friday morning after being discovered with several stab wounds to his upper body in Askim, Indre Østfold, reports Norwegian news agency NTB.
The victim was found lying outdoors around 3 a.m. by passersby, according to Ronny Hellerud Samuelsen, operations manager for the Øst Police District. His condition remains unknown.
Police have launched a full-scale investigation at the scene, deploying significant resources, including a police helicopter. Authorities currently have no suspect information but stated there is no ongoing threat to the public.
“We are conducting several investigative measures on-site and have allocated substantial resources,” Samuelsen said. “At this time, we assess that there is no danger to others in the area.”
