Finnish MEP Ville Niinistö to answer public questions on Ykkösaamu amid Middle East tensions

Finnish Green Party MEP and chair of the European Parliament’s Russia delegation Ville Niinistö will appear on Yle’s morning programme Ykkösaamu on 18 April to discuss security challenges, including instability in the Middle East and uncertainty over US policy under a potential Trump presidency, reports Yle.

Niinistö, elected to lead the parliament’s Russia delegation in 2024, will be interviewed by Annika Damström in a live broadcast starting at 10:05 local time on Yle TV1 and the Yle Areena streaming service. Viewers may submit questions in advance via an online form.

The programme follows rising regional tensions, including conflicts in the Middle East and shifting US foreign policy dynamics.
