Three men in their 30s, arrested in connection with the killing of a woman found dead in an elevator in Oslo’s Grønland district, will appear before Oslo District Court on Wednesday for remand hearings, Dagbladet reports.
The suspects, detained on Monday, are charged with murder or complicity in the death of a woman in her 30s discovered in the elevator on Saturday. All three deny criminal responsibility. Prosecutors have requested four weeks of pre-trial detention with closed-door proceedings, according to police prosecutor Hilde Hermanrud Strand.
Forensic investigators examined the elevator on Tuesday as part of the ongoing probe. Police believe at least one of the accused knew the victim, though their exact relationship remains under investigation.
Anne Alræk Solem, head of Oslo Police’s serious crime unit, confirmed to Dagbladet that the case is being treated as a homicide investigation with “significant resources.” The three men were already known to police prior to their arrests.
