Weather conditions across Iceland will vary on the upcoming Thursday, with warmest temperatures expected in the southwest. However, rain will be prevalent in the eastern part of the country, while the western regions will experience scattered showers.

Wind speeds are projected to range between three to eight meters per second, mostly under cloudy skies. Temperatures will generally fall between ten to eighteen degrees Celsius, with the warmest areas being in the southwest.

A notable weather front is expected to bring rain to nearly all parts of the country except for the northeast. Continuing rainfall will affect the southern and western regions, although conditions will improve in the north.

As preparations for a new coastal defense wall are nearing completion, local authorities remain vigilant, with public safety measures being prioritized across the regions affected by inclement weather. With increased seismic activity also being reported around the Reykjanes Peninsula, a heightened state of alert is in effect as communities brace for any potential developments.

In response to these conditions, health services are encouraging residents to take advantage of reduced waiting times for medical appointments.
