Faroese government ministers hold public receptions today

The Faroese government’s newly appointed ministers will hold individual public receptions on Tuesday, beginning with Margit Stóra, the minister for social affairs and housing, at 09:00 local time, Kringvarp Føroya reports.

Each minister will host a 50-minute reception in their respective department. The outgoing and incoming directors-general will welcome attendees, followed by brief remarks from the departing and newly elected ministers.

The schedule for receptions is as follows:

• 09:00–09:50: Margit Stóra (social affairs and housing) at Bryggjubakki 27
• 10:00–10:50: Aksel V. Johannesen (finance) at the Ministry of Finance, Tinganesi
• 11:00–11:50: Bárður á Lakjuni (culture) at Smærun, Tórshavn
• 12:00–12:50: Jacob Vestergaard (labour) at Kristnastova, Gongin
• 13:00–13:50: Bárður á Steig Nielsen (foreign affairs and fisheries) at Loftsrúminum, Tinganesi
• 14:00–14:50: Eydis Hartmann Niclasen (health and energy) at Kopargøta 1

The receptions mark the formal introduction of the new government led by Prime Minister Beini Johannesen.
