Finnish shipbuilder Meyer Turku Group saw its revenue exceed €2 billion in 2025, marking a 17.2 percent increase from the previous year, according to a company statement reported by Finnish public broadcaster Yle.

The adjusted operating profit for the 2025 financial year reached €105.1 million, up from €1.8 billion in revenue in 2024 and €1.4 billion in 2023. CEO Casimir Lindholm attributed the positive results to the successful delivery of the Star of the Seas cruise ship, confirmed orders, and a framework agreement with Royal Caribbean extending to 2036.

“Our partnership with Royal Caribbean, along with the options and confirmed orders, provides a strong foundation for future planning,” Lindholm said. He added that the company aims for stable financial performance in the coming years and is making significant investments to enhance the shipyard’s competitiveness.

The Turku shipyard employed nearly 2,400 people last year. Currently, three vessels are under construction at different stages, with one completed cruise ship delivered annually. The third Icon-class vessel, Legend of the Seas, will be completed this summer, followed by the fourth, Hero of the Seas, in 2027, and an unnamed fifth ship in 2028. Meyer Turku also holds options for a sixth and seventh vessel in the series.

Beyond cruise ships, the company is building two multi-role offshore patrol vessels for the Finnish Border Guard, scheduled for delivery in 2026 and 2027.
