Police arrest suspect in terrorism preparation case

Swedish police have arrested a person on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts, participating in a terrorist organisation, and publicly inciting terrorism, SVT Nyheter reports.

The arrest took place on Monday, with the case now before Halmstad District Court. On Friday, a separate individual was detained and later remanded in custody on similar charges, including preparation for terrorist offences and involvement in a terrorist organisation.

Authorities have not confirmed whether the two cases are connected. Investigations are ongoing.
