Less than 20 percent of Nordic business leaders say artificial intelligence has increased their revenue, according to a new report by consulting firm Deloitte, as reported by Finnish news agency STT.

The survey reveals that while revenue gains remain limited, nearly 80 percent of executives note improved efficiency due to AI adoption. However, the rollout of AI agents—software capable of performing independent knowledge-based tasks—is progressing slowly in the region.

Deloitte attributes the delay to a skills gap, with only 5 percent of Nordic companies reporting high expertise in AI agent technology, compared to 20 percent globally. The report estimates that large-scale AI agent implementation in the Nordics will take at least three more years.
