Finnish police lift cordon around drone discovery site in Iitti

Finnish police have completed their on-site investigation of a drone found in Iitti, southern Finland, and have removed the cordon around the Perheniemi area, Häme Police Department announced on Friday.

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) will continue the case and is expected to provide further updates no earlier than Saturday. The Finnish Border Guard is separately investigating a suspected territorial violation linked to the incident.

On Thursday, the NBI and the Border Guard stated they were examining whether the drone discovered in Iitti is connected to Ukrainian drones previously found in Kouvola, Parikkala, and Luumäki in March.
