Finnair and Norwegian Air currently have sufficient jet fuel reserves, despite disruptions caused by the conflict in the Middle East, Helsingin Sanomat reports.
Both airlines confirmed to the newspaper that the unstable fuel situation has not yet affected flight operations. Päivyt Tallqvist, Finnair’s director of communications, stated that the company is monitoring developments closely. “Preparing for different scenarios is part of an airline’s daily operations,” Tallqvist said, adding that Finnair will next address its outlook in its first-quarter financial report in two weeks.
Mira Linnamaa, Norwegian’s communications director, told Helsingin Sanomat that the airline is satisfied with fuel availability and that flights are not currently at risk. She described the situation as non-acute.
